Visa and immigration — the E-series routes
Most visa problems in Bali are structural rather than clerical: the wrong route was chosen at the start, or a route was chosen that the applicant never qualified for. This service picks the route, confirms you qualify before anything is filed, and runs the application through to your e-ITAS — investor, work, or whichever E-series route actually fits.
What you get
- A route and eligibility assessment in writing, before any filing fee is spent.
- The document list for your specific route, and the filing itself (e-Visa; the work route adds the RPTKA step).
- Coordination through biometrics and e-ITAS issuance after you arrive.
- A straight answer if you do not qualify for the route you asked about — including when the honest answer is that no route fits yet.
How it runs, step by step
| Milestone | Typical time | What happens / your part |
|---|---|---|
| Route & eligibility check | 2–5 days | We match your route and confirm you qualify (shareholding/income) |
| Document collection | 1–2 weeks | You gather the documents for your route |
| Filing (e-Visa / RPTKA) | 5–10 working days | We file; the work route adds the RPTKA step |
| Biometrics & ITAS | 2–4 weeks on arrival | In-person biometrics, then your e-ITAS is issued |
Typical total: ~4–6 weeks (investor) to ~8–12 weeks (work)
Legal basis
| Aspect | Basis |
|---|---|
| Visa and stay-permit framework | Permenkumham 22/2023 jo. 11/2024 |
| E28A investor route: shareholding of at least Rp10 billion | Official requirement published by imigrasi.go.id (checked 16 July 2026) |
| RPTKA plus the DKP-TKA levy of USD 100 per month (a government levy, not a firm fee) | PP 34/2021 |
Each basis above has been verified against the primary source and filed in the firm's dossier for this service. Points still under verification are not published here.
Common questions
How much do I need to invest for an investor KITAS?
The E28A investor route is built around a shareholding threshold — shares held of at least Rp10 billion — confirmed against the official immigration requirements at the time you apply. It is a real shareholding, and it is checked. If your structure does not carry it, that route is not open to you, and you will be told before you spend on it.
Can my company just sponsor me on a work KITAS instead?
That is a different route with a different gate. The work route runs through RPTKA — the foreign-worker plan the employer must have approved — and it carries the DKP-TKA levy the employer pays per foreign worker per month under PP 34/2021. It is the employer's obligation rather than yours, and it is worth knowing which of you is actually carrying that cost before you agree a package.
I am already here on the wrong permit. Is it too late to fix?
Not necessarily, but it is a different conversation and it is time-sensitive. Bring the actual permit and the dates to the consultation: the options depend entirely on which permit and on how long, and they narrow as time passes.
Honest limits
Processing times, biometrics appointments and e-ITAS issuance sit with the immigration office, not with the firm — every duration here is indicative of 2026 practice. Eligibility is confirmed against the official requirements for your route at intake, and where you do not meet them, no filing is made. This service does not include the PT PMA incorporation that an investor route depends on; that is a separate engagement. Fee is fixed in the engagement letter after intake.
